Over-Adaptation vs. Adaptive Pattern

Adaptive pattern reflects necessary adjustment to persistent constraints.

Over-adaptation occurs when that adjustment becomes excessive or fixed.

In adaptive pattern, flexibility remains possible.
In over-adaptation, deviation from the new structure feels destabilizing.

When accommodation begins to restrict rather than support resilience, the pattern has shifted from adaptive to over-adaptive.
